A chemical peel is an in-office procedure during which an acid solution is applied to the surface of the face. The solution is left on for a few minutes, after which time it is removed or neutralized. Most people experience some mild tingling during a chemical peel, which usually takes only a few minutes to complete. Following a chemical peel, the skin may ‘flake off’ for a couple of days before revealing newer, healthier looking skin beneath the surface. Chemical peels are useful for improving the appearance of the skin and conditions like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, sun damage, acne scars and age spots.

This is a good milder peel for congested oily acne prone skin. It effectively reduces bacteria caused by acne. This peel can also help improve fine lines and brighten dull, sun-damaged skin. A series of three peels one month apart is suggested. The cost is $108/peel
Glo Therapeutics Modified Jessner Peel
This is a mild to medium peel with A combination of acids that smooths dull skin, improve fine lines, as well as hyperpigmentation and sundamage. It can help melasma and mild cases of rosacea. We often use this peel in combination with other peels or alone. The depth of this peel is determined by the number of layers applied.
Salicylic Acid 30 percent peel

TCA peel 20 and 35 percent
These are advanced peels that effectively treat more advanced signs of aging and sundamage. These medium depth peels are applied in the office by the physician. Only one peel is needed to achieve results. There is approximately 1-2 weeks of downtime after this peel. Sun avoidance is strictly advised after this peel for 1 month. The cost of these peels are $750-$1100.
